Troy Klontz is a professional musician with over 34 years of collected experience. He began his musical career with steel guitar at eight years old while living in Claremore, Oklahoma.
At 17 he began touring with Roy Clark nationally and internationally from 1977 to 1987, performing on the TV show Hee Haw from 1981 to 1987. In 1989 he played with Roy Clark at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland. In 1992 Troy began playing for the country music duo Brooks and Dunn, touring and performing nationally and appearing for 13 consecutive years on the annual Country Music Awards.
Throughout his time in the music industry, Troy has played everywhere from small venues to sold-out arenas. He has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and The Rosie O’Donnell Show. He has also appeared on the Academy of Country Music Awards, the American Music Awards, and the Grammys. Troy has played with many other well-known artists such as Johnny Cash, ZZ Top, Jimmy Buffet, and Reba McEntyre.
